Really, May 15th? And then I talked about stuff to remember years down the road. Stuff I now don't even want to remember.

Well, as I currently have a crush on another blogger, this thing may see a bit more action for a while. Sometimes I miss writing. Often I feel like I should do something more than just babble about my own mundane life (says the multilingual goth gamer chick living in Korea. Yes, that's a totally normal existence).

Anyway, stupid story from tonight:

I went into a GS25 to pay my water bill. I've never paid a bill at a convenience store before; never had to for one reason or another. Now, I've been studying Korean for years and I'm taking the TOPIK in a few weeks. On paper, my Korean is decent. The girl behind the counter had been studying English before I showed up and, from what I could see of her textbook, it was intermediate/advanced conversational English. Communication shouldn't really have been a problem, is what I'm saying. She was a new employee and didn't know how to pay my bill, so she had to call for help, a few times, and had to ask me a few questions, and although the bill got paid, she didn't speak a word of English to me and I answered in Korean in single-word answers.

It was not one of my prouder moments here.

There is ever so much more to say; I have been doing some serious thinking these past few months, and I should really write about my Europe trip this past summer as that WILL be something I want to remember. But we'll save all that for another time, or not.
